For those of us who were born and raised in America, it’s always represented the land of the free and the home of the brave. We were a God fearing nation and reaped the blessings and abundance from it. Fast forward to today and let’s look at what this great country represents:
Abortion (57 million and counting)
Gay Marriage (Now legal in 32 states as of this article)
Pornography (2012 estimates that this industry took in between 2.8- 8 billion dollars)
Human trafficking
Anti-Christian sentiments
Witchcraft
Idolatry and greed
Pride and arrogance
You may argue that these things go on in many other places in the world. That is true but America is the primary exporter of this sin and filth. Remember the saying, “as America goes, so goes the world.” Most around the globe look up to American culture and want to mimic it. American is also a country that lacks humility. Everywhere you look is evidence of the pride and arrogance of this nation as a whole. I’ve spoken to many people on this very subject only to have most respond to the tune of “it will never happen here” or “no one can beat our military. Isaiah 47:7-8 describes this attitude that many in this country have, “And thou saidst, "I shall be a lady for ever", so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. 8 - Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, "I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children"... (KJV).
I’ve always been interested in end time prophecy and intrigued by the Book of Revelation. I’ve read it through several times. It wasn’t until I read it again several years ago that I finally started to understand some things. Especially interesting to me was chapters 17 and 18 which talks about this whore Mystery Babylon and her destruction. There are other references to end time Babylon in the Old Testament also.
I started looking at all of the characteristics of this whore:
In my opinion, we are at the precipice of the final demise of the United States (Babylon). Decades of willful sin and the lack of true national repentance has allowed this country to morph in to Babylon as described in the scriptures. Some may even argue that this has been the plan all along. You don’t have to go far to see the occult and Babylonian symbols in this nation. There is the eye or Horus on the dollar, statue of Liberty (which is actually a pagan statue of the goddess Isis), among other things. I will address the symbolism in a future article.
When Babylon falls it will have an impact on the world economy. Revelation 18:11 says, “And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more” (KJV). It’s no secret that the U.S. is a consumer culture. What do you think will happen with these merchants when no one in the U.S is able to buy all these goods anymore? It’s no secret that America is a nation of debtors. As of July 2014 consumer debt in this country reached 3.2 trillion dollars.
The Future of Babylon
The bible clearly describes the fate of Mystery Babylon, both in the old and new Testaments. First let’s look at Isaiah 47:9, which states “But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.”
Revelation chapter 18 describes the fall and final destruction of Babylon. The angel proclaims that” Babylon the great is fallen, is and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird” Rev 18:2 (KJV). I think that this nation is currently entering this stage and that the demons of hell have been unleashed. Christians are now considered the new terrorists and enemies of the state, while satanic rituals and beheadings are becoming the norm. The division and strife along, economic, political, social and racial lines is at an all-time high and is being fueled by demonic hatred.
Revelation 18:4 says, “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (KJV). I’ve heard a couple of different interpretations of this verse. Some say that this is a call for Christians to leave America and relocate to other countries. I’ve heard others say that this is God calling Israel to leave and go back to their homeland. I do believe this is when the children of Israel will leave America led by God back to their homeland. All through the Old Testament God refers to Israel as “my people.” There are many who believe in replacement theology and assert that God has forgotten about Israel and that Christians or America(see the arrogance in this statement?) are the new Israel. Gentile followers of Jesus have been grafted in but do not and will not ever replace Israel. The Lord made a covenant with His people Israel and will fulfill it. Many people forget that Romans 11:25-27 clearly states “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins” (KJV).
Finally Revelation 18:8 outlines the final destruction. “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her” (KJV). There will be a catastrophic event or events that will cause the destruction. I also find it interesting that the continental U.S. sits on one of the world’s super volcanos (Yellowstone). It begs to question if an eruption is in store as part of this sudden destruction. It may not be a single event but perhaps a string of events (nuclear attacks, Yellowstone, etc.) that causes such sudden destruction.
If we look at Jerimiah 50 and 51, it goes into a lot more detail about the final destruction of Babylon, who she is and the reasons. All of the verses referenced here come from the King James Version:

- “And he saith unto me, the waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth are people, and multitudes, and nations and tongues” (Rev 17:15). We know that America is a melting pot of many nations and ethnicities.
- All the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her.
- All the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication

If we look at Jerimiah 50 and 51, it goes into a lot more detail about the final destruction of Babylon, who she is and the reasons. All of the verses referenced here come from the King James Version:
- She is the hindermost of nations (meaning the furthest back or last). The United States is the last of the great powerful nations on earth. This right here tells you that this passage was referring to end times Babylon and not ancient Babylon. Some claim that Babylon of the end time refers to a world system but the bible explicitly describes her as a nation (50:12).
- Babylon has a mother and this mother will be sore confounded and ashamed at her destruction. This is referring to Great Britain the mother of the United States of America (50:12).
- Babylon is punished for her treatment of Israel (50:33 and51:49). Israel was taken captive and oppressed. Babylon has also caused Israel’s slain to fall. Here’s some food for thought. Look back at America’s history and its treatment of certain groups of people.
- During this time, Israel and Judah will turn back to God (50:4 and 51:5). God says that Israel has not been forsaken.
- Babylon is attacked from the North (50:41 and 51:48). It describes a great nation along with many kings from the coasts of the earth. I believe that Russia is the nation from the north that this passage is talking about. Also see Dmitri Duduman’s prophesy America Will Burn.
- God makes her officials and wise men drunk and they are asleep (51:57). This really describes most of the churches in America as well as our government officials.
- A destroying wind will come against Babylon (51:1). There will be nuclear attacks on our land.
- When the news of Babylon’s destruction is heard, the whole earth is astonished (50:46 and 51:41).
- Tsunamis will come upon the land of Babylon (51:42).
- None will escape (50:29). For those who think that they can outsmart God and hide out in a bunker
- Babylon’s military will fall (50:30).
